He has the keys to her heart (and their new home)

20 June 2019

A happy couple from Bradford, West Yorkshire are celebrating achieving two life changing milestones in the space of 15 minutes.

Nick Page, from Bradford and Katie Tattum, from Bournemouth were set to collect the keys to their new three-bedroom home at Keepmoat Homes’ Woodlands View development in Bradford on 7 June 2019. However there was more than just excitement in the air, as while his girlfriend was taking in their new home Mr Page got down on one knee and popped the question.

Speaking after saying “YES”, the future Mrs Page commented: “We were so excited to collect our keys and start a new chapter in our lives in our own home that the last thing I was expecting was for Nick to ask me to marry him.

“I was so taken a back that I’m not sure I actually said the magical one syllable word but just hugged him; it was clearly not just a yes but an absolutely!”

Nick added; “I’d been planning this for months and consulted with our sales executive at Keepmoat Homes to see if they could help me facilitate this surprise. The team were brilliant and helped distract Katie while I got in to position.

“I hadn’t given much thought to whether she’d say no or not and just hoped and assumed that as we were buying a house together she’d say yes.”

Steve Armitage, Sales Director at Keepmoat said: “We were delighted that we were not only able to hand Nick and Katie the keys to their new home but also help facilitate this special proposal. We’d all like to wish the happy couple many years of happiness in their new home and together.”

Katie concluded, “I’m looking forward to planning the wedding with Nick, but first we need to finish unpacking all our boxes.”
