MCI Developments to deliver 44 affordable homes in partnership with Mosscare St Vincent
MCI Developments, a subsidiary of Keepmoat, will deliver 44 affordable homes off Hardman Avenue, Rawtenstall in partnership with Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing Group (MSV).
The new housing scheme, which was granted full planning permission by Rossendale Borough Council earlier this year, will create a range of one, two, and three-bedroom homes at the site of a disused former residential farm building.
The transformation of the vacant land represents an investment of more than £10 million from the partnership and the high-quality new homes will be let as social rent by MSV, delivered to a high fabric standard, achieving EPC rating A.
Jamie Irving, Land & Partnerships Director at MCI Developments said: “We’re excited to announce MSV as our affordable partner to create a fantastic new scheme in Rawtenstall, representing a significant investment in the area.
“At MCI Developments, we’re committed to working with a range of partners to deliver remarkable schemes together with high-quality new homes. We’re looking forward to progressing the approved plans and delivering 44 new homes to benefit the local community.”
MSV Housing Group is a not-for-profit housing association based in Greater Manchester, formed in 2018 through the merger of the Mosscare Housing Group and St Vincent’s Housing Association.
Stuart Smallman, Head of Growth ‑ Programme, Partnerships & Sales at MSV Housing Group added: “As a Registered Provider with ambitious growth targets, it is fantastic for MSV to acquire this land and be in contract to deliver these social rent properties in Rossendale.
“The location, range of accommodation, site layout, and high fabric specification is expected to deliver highly popular social rented homes for our customers, which will help to satisfy an ever-growing need for housing that is affordable, safe, and secure.
“Partnering with MCI Developments to deliver this site, alongside grant assistance from Homes England and the co-operation and support of Rossendale Borough Council, this development is set to be a great success and will further cement MSV’s presence in the area.”
