Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Executive to join us in this core role within the Sales Team. This role sits within our North West region, based from our Regional Head Office in Speke.
As a Legal Executive, you will manage the legal progression of property sales from reservation through to completion. Working closely with solicitors, customers and internal teams, you will ensure transactions progress efficiently, maintain accurate records and help deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing reservations, exchanges and legal completions.
- Monitoring and progressing sales through regular liaison with solicitors, customers, mortgage advisors and key stakeholders.
- Reviewing contracts, completion statements and legal documentation for accuracy.
- Producing forecasts, exchange reports and completion updates; entailing close working relationships with the finance team.
- Managing KYC related queries and escalations.
- Coordinating legal requirements for new developments, including assisting with legal packs, management company setup and service charge arrangements.
- Handling resale enquiries, certificates of compliance and land transfer requests.
- Supporting internal departments with queries relating to coming soon, current and completed developments.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Working with the sales director to progress bulk sales through to completion, which includes liaison with both internal and external parties.
- Providing reporting, as and when is required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Previous experience within a new build business and desirable to have legal, conveyancing or property-related environment.
- Strong understanding of the property sales process from reservation to completion.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including the ability to manage both downwards and upwards.
- Excellent communication, numeracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal systems, with a working knowledge of Dynamincs as a desirable skill.
- Self-motivated, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within housebuilding, residential property or sales progression.
- Knowledge of KYC/AML processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting colleagues through training, coaching or covering senior responsibilities.
- Knowledge of talent mapping, succession planning or wider people management practices.
Qualifications
- A legal, conveyancing or property-related qualification would be advantageous, although relevant experience will be considered.
