Byerley Park Primary, St. Francis C of E Primary, Stephenson Way Academy and Nursery and Horndale Infant School are all a short walk away. For year 7 students and above, Greenfield Community College and Woodham Academy are close to home.

And Raby Castle, one of England’s finest medieval castles, with over 200 acres of lush green parkland is also just a 20 minute drive from Elder Gardens.
Or in just over half an hour you can be on Durham’s amazing Heritage Coast. With miles of paths, wide sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and history around every headland, it provides a great day out, all year round.
The historic city of Durham quick and easy to get to and combines great shopping with its unique history and heritage. But if something a little more modern and vibrant is your thing. Newcastle’s famous shopping, nightlife, arts and culture is only 30 miles away.
