With a good choice of local schools, The Maples is the ideal location for growing families. King’s Oak Primary is just a 4 minute walk away and Shackleton Primary a 6 minute walk. For the older children, Bedford Academy and The Bedford Free School are also both nearby.
With excellent transport links and lots of fantastic local attractions, there is always plenty to explore, or the ideal location for a family day out.
For animal-lovers, Woburn Safari park is less than 30 minutes away. With road and foot safari trails, plus keeper talks and demonstrations, it is the perfect way to get up close to amazing animals. ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is also nearby – just a 40 minute drive away. Here you can see animals from around the world, and there is even a steam train to take you around the territories of some of the world’s most iconic and endangered animals.
If getting out into the fresh air is your thing, the Chiltern Hills are easy to get to and perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. The stunning rolling hills and picturesque English countryside is an amazing place to explore.
