About Nottingham

The Local Area:
The closeness of the city centre makes the Edge a perfect and vibrant location for new families. With so much, so close to home, all your day-to-day needs are well catered for. A short walk from your door is a Co-op supermarket, restaurants, pubs, pharmacy, post office, and a variety of local shops and services.

There’s more to this location than great amenities, bordering Victoria Embankment. It's the place to take all the family for a Sunday afternoon promenade, and then reward with a well-deserved ice-cream from the little kiosk near the bridge.

Either take a boat trip or use the river viewing platform to watch the boats, while soaking in the historic Trent Bridge. The home of the Nottingham Forest Football Club is also a short distance away for a perfect day out watching football.

With the combination of modern amenities and green open spaces, The Edge is the ideal place for families. So, it’s good to know there’s a great choice of schools nearby. Greenfields Community School, Welbeck Primary School, West Bridgeford Junior School and Huntingdon Academy are all classified as outstanding primary schools located nearby.

Out and About:
Nottinghamshire is full of fantastic attractions and places to go for a day out. From theme parks to country parks, stately homes to adrenaline-packed activities, you’re spoilt for choice. Nottingham city centre is  a short drive away where you can find a range of high-street retailers, restaurants, bars, clubs and a cinema, crazy golf and much more. Or you can visit West Bridgeford's bustling centre and explore the local shops and activities.

A short walk away from the Edge you can find the home of Nottingham Forest Football Club, Cricket Club and Recreational Grounds - many attractions for a relaxed Sunday with your family.

A little further afield, the picturesque town of Matlock is less than 30 miles away and is the gateway to the stunning Peak District.
