About Bartestree

The local area

The quiet village of Bartestree provides the perfect setting for our stunning new Malvern View development.

In the quiet, unspoilt village you’ll find a handy general store including a newsagent, grocery store and off licence. There’s also a hair dressers and gallery too. The Bartestree and Lugwardine Cricket Club, a licensed venue, is set in a large open space, with stunning views and has a children’s play area. The social heart of the village is Bartestree Village Hall.

For your day-to-day grocery needs, there’s a Co-op supermarket in Tupsley, just 2.5 miles away. Plus, there’s a huge choice of supermarkets in Hereford, including a Waitrose, Asda and Morrisons.

With Hereford’s historic city centre just 4 miles away, you’re never far from a great choice of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.  At this new £90 million venue, you can shop, eat and even catch a movie. The Old Market is definitely worth a visit.

An idyllic setting for families with children, there’s a great choice of schools near Malvern View. Lugwardine Primary school is a little over half a mile from your door. For older children, St Mary’s RC High School is just over a mile away from home. There’s also Gateway Nursery for pre-school children next to the development. This 50-weeks a year nursery also offers after school and holiday clubs.

Out and about

As the name suggests, Malvern View is a great place to explore this eight-mile-long ridge, described as a mountain range in miniature. There’s over 3000 acres of countryside and hills waiting to be explored. The timeless market town of Ledbury, just 12 miles from the development is the gateway to the Malvern Hills. The famous spa town of Great Malvern, transformed by the Victorians and dubbed The Water Cure Town is just 17 miles from home.

The Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is also close to home. The unique landscape, with a fascinating history, covers 326 square kilometers and straddles the border between England and Wales. Here in one of the south of England’s most scenic areas you can do everything from ancient ruins and historic buildings to adrenaline-packing activities such as white water rafting on the River Wye.

Transport links

Malvern View is just off the A438 which takes you straight into Hereford. Head east on this road and you’ll soon be in Ledbury. Nearby train station offers regular services to Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and more.
