Homebuilder, Keepmoat Homes Manchester office, has raised £14,000 for the Royal British Legion this month at its 2018 Subcontractor Awards evening, it is part of the firm’s wider commitment to communities across the UK.
The event, held at the Mercure Hotel Haydock, saw over 220 local business people and construction professionals come together to raise money via an auction and celebrate their successes over the last 12 months, with awards given to Chandos Civil Engineering (Sub-Contractor Supreme Winner), J&J Bricklayers (Social Value Award) and Bluesky Plumbing (Customer Care Sub-Contractor of the Year).
This is the third consecutive year Keepmoat Homes has hosted the awards evening and raised money for the Royal British Legion, and to date the event has raised over £41,000.
Craig Murphy, Regional Managing Director, Keepmoat Homes commented on the evening’s success: “We work very closely with subcontractors across the region to ensure that we are supporting local business as much as possible. Our subcontractors play a vital role in helping us deliver quality, much-needed homes to the North West. We see this awards evening as a key opportunity to celebrate the hard work these businesses have put in throughout the year, whilst also looking to the future and showcasing new and exciting opportunities for 2019.
“It was fantastic to see the subcontractors all in one room, networking and celebrating their successes – the fact that we were able to raise such a significant figure for charity as part of the evening, really was the cherry on the cake. We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact our funds make to the Royal British Legion and, of course, continuing to work with our talented subcontractors as we look to the year ahead.”
Alison Bunn, the Area Manager for the Royal British Legion in Greater Manchester said: “The Royal British Legion would like to thank Keepmoat Homes for their very generous donation to the 2018 Poppy Appeal. This year we have set our highest ever target at £50 million and donations like this help to provide support for the Armed Forces Community.”
