Change of Leadership at Keepmoat Homes

30 January 2019

After seven years with Keepmoat Homes, James Thomson has taken the decision to step down as Chief Executive Officer of Keepmoat Homes. He will remain involved with Keepmoat Homes and on the board as a non-executive director.

James made this decision with the full support of the Board following the successful refinance of the business in November 2018. The refinance follows a period of very strong growth at Keepmoat Homes which has seen it treble in size in the last five years and following the very successful sale of Keepmoat Regeneration two years ago. The new finance package ensures that Keepmoat Homes has the capital structure and capacity to support the business through the next five years of its development.

James Thomson said: “I am delighted to announce that the Keepmoat Homes Board has invited our Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO, Tim Beale, to step up to the position of Chief Executive Officer. I will be supporting Tim and the team in an executive capacity until the end of April to ensure a seamless transition.

“Tim joined Keepmoat Homes in 2017 and has already made a very significant contribution to the group. His arrival at Keepmoat Homes followed 14 years at Crest Nicholson, latterly as a member of the executive board and Chairman of the South West, Chiltern and Southern divisions. Tim was part of the senior management team that led the successful listing of Crest Nicholson onto the public markets in 2013. I am confident that under Tim’s leadership the business will continue to go from strength to strength.”
