Social & economic impact
At Keepmoat Homes we are passionate and committed to delivering long-term improvements for the communities in which we work, ensuring our developments are positive places to live. We focus on building high quality and affordable homes for first time buyers and social landlords, with:
- Over 80% of our sites being on public sector land and developed in close partnership with Local Authorities, and
- The sites being predominantly brownfield sites (85%) in regeneration areas.
This approach means that supporting our partners to deliver their social value priorities and build sustainable communities are at the core of our business.
We aim to maximise the social and economic impacts we generate through developing local employment and skills.
We collaborate and work in partnership with local stakeholders to ensure that our developments improve the area for local residents.
We also work closely with schools, local representatives, community leaders and community groups in order to support localised priorities. Supporting communities to flourish and become sustainable long after our development is completed, leaving a lasting legacy.
Our developments touch the lives of so many people, including our own staff in a positive way and our volunteering and fund raising continues to support many local events, clubs and charities that deliver essential local services and activities.
Through our Social and Economic Impact projects and partnerships we delivered £26,995,586 of social value to our communities in 2018/2019
We are also Pioneer Members of Social Value UK, allowing us to collaborate with other members, share best practice and maximise the level of social value delivered through our activities.
