The local area:
The pretty residential setting of Gedling provides the perfect location for our new Chase Farm development. With so much, so close to home, all your day-to-day needs are well catered for. A short walk from your door there’s a handy Sainsbury’s Local, or head into the centre of Gedling for a great selection of shops, a Coop supermarket, restaurants and a pub.
Just a couple of miles from Chase Farm is the bustling market town of Arnold. Everything you need is here, including high streets names, independent stores, banks, pubs, restaurants, leisure centre and theatre. Or you could pop into Victoria Retail Park in nearby Netherfield. You’ll find M&S Food, Next, Argos, Boots and many more here.
But there’s more to this location than great amenities. Bordering Gedling Country Park, you can enjoy the 240 acres of open spaces, fantastic wildlife and the many walking and cycling trails. There will be two new pedestrian access points into the park from the estate and a new £1 million visitor centre is planned soon. There are also a number of other great parks in the area. Burton Road Jubilee Park is just down the road and has a children’s play area and fun events throughout the year.
With so much, so close to home, it’s easy to forget that Chase Farm is just 5 miles from the centre of Nottingham. From shopping to dining, arts and culture to sport and leisure, there’s always something to do in the city and it’s so easy to get to.
With the combination of modern amenities and green open spaces, Chase Farm is the ideal places for families. So, it’s good to know there’s a great choice of schools nearby. Stanhope Primary, Haddon Primary and Nursery, Phoenix Infant and Nursery and All Hallows C of E Primary schools are all close to home. For older children, Carlton le Willows Academy and Wheldon School Sports College are near.
Out and about:
Nottinghamshire is full of fantastic attractions and places to go for a day out. From theme parks to country parks, stately homes to adrenaline-packed activities, you’re spoilt for choice. Close to home, less than ten-minute drive away, is Woodthorpe Grange Park. This impressive park, complete with 19th century Grade II listed manor house, 18-hole pitch and putt course, tropical house, formal gardens and more is a great place for all family. Less than ten miles away is Wollaton Hall. This 16th century Elizabethan mansion has stunning gardens and parkland plus a natural history museum too.
A little further afield, the picturesque town of Matlock is less than 30 miles away and is the gateway to the stunning Peak District.
