About Leeds

Whether on foot, on your bike, public transport or car, you’ll be amazed how easy everything is to get to.

There’s a great choice of supermarkets nearby. A large Asda and Tesco Extra are both just a few minutes’ drive away. There’s also a McColls mini supermarket right near the development, where there is also a cafe, beauty salon and a handy post office. You also have a choice of retail parks close to home. Seacroft Green Shopping Centre and Crossgates Shopping Centre are both just a 1 minute drive away. There’s a great choice of shops and places to eat at Crossgates and with plenty of parking it’s easy to drop in whenever you fancy.

If you enjoy an active lifestyle, this is the place for you. Fearnville Fields is just a couple of minute walk from the development. Fearnville Leisure Centre is also here. There’s a pool, well-equipped gym, astroturf pitch, tennis courts, sports hall and more. Primrose Valley Park, a popular green oasis in the suburbs, is also nearby. Plus, the famous Roundhay Park is just 2.5 miles away. One of the biggest city parks in Europe, there’s more than 700 acres of parkland, woodland and gardens. Hardly surprising that there’s always lots going on here. If you’re feeling energetic you can walk around one of the lakes – or both! There are many other walking trails, from toddler-friendly paths to something for the serious walker. Many sports clubs make use of the park, from running and rowing clubs to Pramexercise classes, there’s lots to get involved in. Tropical World is also part of Roundhay Park. Home to the largest collection of tropical plants outside Kew Gardens, the famous Butterfly House is must. Or if you just want to relax, you can do that too. Take a gentle stroll in the many beautiful gardens or chill out with a coffee in the lakeside Café.

If you love getting out and about, this is the place for you. The Wyke Beck Way is a major walking and cycling network and you can pick it up just down the road. The section near the development winds its way along the Wyke Beck Valley and it’s a great way to get around the area.

It’s easy to see that this location is a great setting for families and there’s a good choice of schools nearby. Beechwood Primary is less than a ten minute walk away. For older children, Bishop Young C of E Academy and Leeds East Academy are also close to home.

With Leeds city centre so close to home, it’s easy to enjoy everything this modern and vibrant city has to offer. Shopping or dining, arts and culture, or great nightlife, you’ll never run out of things to do. And you don’t need deep pockets to have a great time in the city. Many attractions, such as Royal Armouries, the Henry Moore Institute, the historic Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds City Museum, the Leeds Waterfront Heritage Trail and the many local nature reserves are all brilliant, and they are all free.

It’s easy to explore this fantastic region from Brooklands Avenue. The picturesque Harewood House is just 9 miles from your door and the stunning city of York is easy to get to by car or train. For great family days out, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, complete with polar bears, lions, tigers and so much more is an hour away or you could ski, climb, bowl and much more at Xscape in Castleford.

Or if you fancy a little sea air, the stunning Yorkshire coastline is easy to get to and perfect for a day out. And of course, this is an area that’s known for its natural beauty. Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the bordering Yorkshire Dales are breath taking on every level.
