Keepmoat Appointed to National Housing Delivery Body

0Keepmoat's status as a leading social housing and regeneration specialist has been confirmed by its appointment to the Government's new affordable home building body.

The Doncaster-based group has welcomed being named as a partner on the Homes and Communities Agency's (HCA's) Delivery Partner Panel, which will work on a range of housing and regenation projects.

The HCA has created the panel to speed up the process of building new homes, by replacing the lengthy process of procuring developers with a Government-approved list of partners.

The panel will be used to support schemes including the HCA's Public Land Initiative, a pilot scheme that will see 1,250 homes built on sites owned by the agency. Other major initiatives are also set to benefit from access to the panel.

"We already work with the HCA and its partners on a number of important and exciting projects across the north and Midlands and are delighted to be named on its delivery panel," said Eugien Jaruga, Keepmoat's Director of Partnerships.

"We have demonstrated over the years our commitment to partnership working. This has helped us build thousands of affordable homes every year, and improve many more.

"We now look forward to being involved in the next phase of the Government's social housing and regeneration programmes through our role in initiatives such as this."

In addition to working on the HCA's projects, the panel will also be made available to local authorities, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and other public agencies who wish to deliver new housing.

Keepmoat is one of 16 partners on two of the panel's three regional 'clusters' covering the north of England and the Midlands.

The group employs around 3,000 staff and delivers new build and refurbishment solutions to local authorities and their partners through its delivery companies Bramall Construction, Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) and Keepmoat Homes.
