FHM strenghen public sector business portfolio

An understanding of the needs of its public sector clients has helped Frank Haslam Milan (FHM), a Keepmoat company, develop and innovate new products and services, securing its continued success in the North East region.

The company has stenghtened its public sector business portfolio by securing ten new business wins and is continuing to grow in the North East after securing these back-to-back wins - estimated to be worth more than £50 million.

These new partnerships will see FHM North East:

  • Build new affordable homes for rent and sale with Your Homes Newcastle - the housing organisation that manages the city's council housing . The work covers general needs and supported housing. The contract is for four years and will see hundreds of new homes being built.
  • Secure a scheme with Housing Hartlepool and Hartlepool Borough Council to build over 100 new homes at Belle Vue in Hartlepool, with the potential for more homes in the future.
  • Work with housing organisations across the region after being selected to join the North East Procurement Framework for the next four years. Works include, kitchen and bathroom replacements, heating renewals, rewires, and roof replacements.

  • Work with Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council on the development of 44 Extra Care units and six bunglaows at Harlow Green in Gateshead.

  • Selected as a national framework provider to build affordable new homes for the Guiness Trust, a national provider of social housing.

FHM won the contracts after demonstrating its ability to deliver high quality, good value products and services, and its sensitive approach to working with local communities.

The new wins help to strengthen FHM's already impressive track record within the region and demonstrates their commitment of securing long term employment for local people.

The company has established links with organisations throughout the North East by working in partnership to develop training and apprenticeship schemes and will continue to invest money and resources into local communities by supporting a number of schemes and initiatives.
