Putting its money where its mouth is, Keepmoat, has become a sponsor of the Grand Designs 'Great British Refurb' Campaign, announced campaign partner, UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC) today. UK-GBC member, Keepmoat joins Knauf Insulation as campaign sponsors.
With UK homes responsible for 27 percent of the UK's carbon emissions, the Grand Designs Great British Refurb Campaign aims to reduce the production of greenhouse gases that lead to climate change, and help meet government targets of reducing carbon emissions by 34 percent by 2020 and 80 percent by 2050.
Speaking about Keepmoat's support of the campaign UK-GBC's Chief Executive, Paul King said, "We're delighted that Keepmoat has joined Knauf Insulation in supporting this campaign. Keepmoat is one of the leading deliverers of sustainable communities, and has really embraced the refurbishment agenda. They are a great fit with the objectives of the campaign and will help us to bring practical advice to anyone wanting to carry out eco-refurbishment measures in their homes."
In a major development, the Great British Refurb campaign can also announce it is forming a partnership with the 10:10 campaign, supported 25,000 individuals and 1000 organisations, to deliver a whole-home refurbishment to one lucky winner of a nationwide competition. As experts in community regeneration, Keepmoat will deliver the refurbishment, using products donated by Knauf Insulation and other delivery partners.
